Gillian and Andrew Bruce's visit - April 2000

They came out to see us for two weeks and travelled all over Seattle and the surrounding areas. We couldn't go with them when they went to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival as we were at work, but the pictures looked so good we thought we'd put some here! :-)

While they were with us we put up a bird feeder that's had remarkable effects! We now can have breakfast watching all these bizarre little birds and best of all a chipmunk that likes to eat the seed that's fallen off the bird table.

Our chipmunk from behind. He is very cute and very fast moving indeed. But he's getting braver by the day, so expect an interview shortly.

By this point I had the French doors open and was looking round the edge with the camera. I think he likes me.

Our very own "Robin the red head" - we figured he needed a bit more of a red background to show just how red his head is.

I think he was working on his tan.

This image is in proportion to the others - we were visited by a squirrel, and believe me, they are huge out here. And supposedly carry rabies. Be afraid. Be very afraid. They haven't figured out how to pick the locks yet at least. (Well, actually, the chipmunk is rather tiny.)
