Rafting

Way back in September, when we were still waiting for visas for the USA we came to Seattle for a few weeks, and while Matt was hard at work, Rachael had John, James and Becky out and got up to all sorts of interesting things.. One of the most exciting was rafting on the Tieton river, which is apparently a class IV rapid (and class V is the hardest!), but we did that at the weekend so Matt got to hitch along as well. We also brought John Overdeck from work. Anyway, here's the snaps - as usual there are bigger ones behind if you just click.

The last photo is one from our rather wet hiking trip we took while they were out too. We walked up to about 4,400 feet in the Necklace valley to the alpine lakes. It was very beautiful, but also very wet.
